Tell us more about Enterprise Nation
Founded in 2006 by Emma Jones MBE, Enterprise Nation helps people turn great ideas in to great businesses. From our humble beginnings a decade ago we now have a community of over 70,000 small business owners who we support through practical content and more than 200 events a year across the UK.
That's huge, a real Enterprise Nation - what are you seeking to help UK business get better at?
We're all about connecting Britain's army of start-ups, micro business owners and entrepreneurs with the people and organisations that can help them thrive. Whether that's meeting a buyer from a big retailer who can stock their product, travelling overseas to explore a new market, meeting government advisers in Downing Street or pitching a journalist from a national newspaper to gain valuable PR, we do it all! We recognise that operating your own business is rarely a 9-5 operation so Enterprise Nation support and expertise is available when it suits a small business owner and from wherever they need it.
Sounds too good to be true, what does it cost to join?
We also believe that everyone should be able to access support to help make their business a success so we've made our membership affordable and flexible. For the price of two cups of coffee a month, Enterprise Nation provides the advice small business owners need and the peer-to-peer support that's so crucial in growing a successful business.
We're so delighted that you are extending GEW to six days with StartUp Saturday - tell us more
The UK economy is powered by entrepreneurs so we are committed to working with the government, big business and regulatory bodies on small businesses' behalf to drive the change needed to create an Enterprise Nation.
That's why we're delighted to support Global Entrepreneurship Week, an initiative we've backed since it launched.
GEW is all about making strong connections in a supportive environment and with our event on 19 November, the Biggest Ever StartUp Saturday one day business course in London, we'll be helping to grow 300 more brilliant small companies that the UK economy needs.
See you on (StartUp) Saturday!
